Claire & Charlie

My husband and I were within a few days of having to re-home Charlie, our very, very lively Labradoodle puppy. Charlie barked most of the time, whether it was at our cat, at noises in the garden or at people walking past our house. It was constant. He would never settle inside the house and when out walking he would never come back to us if we let him off the lead and pulled us down the road when he was on the lead!! He would pick at his food and continuously demand our attention. We were just about at our wits end when we came across Jan Fennell and the method of Amichien Bonding on the internet. We found our local Dog Listener and contacted Julie straight away.

When Julie visited, we knew instantly from her calm (yet firm) manner, her very patient explanations and her obvious love for dogs that we would never look back and we haven’t!! Charlie is like a different dog. His barking is controlled with the ‘three steps’ method, he eats all his food without a fuss and he has much nicer manners on the lead. Charlie is calm and relaxed both inside and outside the house even when we have visitors! He is an absolute pleasure to walk through the woods when off lead, as his recall is practically perfect.

Charlie does still ask us questions and tests us occasionally, but Julie has taught us the steps to take and is always on the other end of the phone so we feel totally confident in handling any situation / issues. The decision we made to contact Julie was the best decision we have made in a long, long time. Charlie is now 14 months old and we wouldn’t be without him for a minute! He is a wonderful friend to all the family and everyone that meets him loves him instantly. Although it seems a lot to take in initially, Amichien Bonding is a way of life and thanks to Julie’s help and dedication we have a truly wonderful dog in our family!

Your dog is a dog, not a human, so why use human language? Whatever the age or breed of your dog, I can teach you to communicate with them using their own language.
